What is a lash lift & tint?
A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that lifts and curls your natural eyelashes from the base, giving the appearance of longer, more open lashes. A lash tint is often performed alongside the lift to darken the lashes, enhancing definition.
How does it work?
- A silicone shield is placed on the eyelid
- A lifting solution is applied to reshape the lashes
- A setting solution locks the curl in place
- A tint is applied to darken the lashes (optional)
The procedure typically takes 45–60 minutes.
How long do results last?
- Results last 6–8 weeks, depending on your natural lash growth cycle
- No maintenance appointments are required between treatments
What will it feel like?
The treatment is usually painless. You may feel mild pressure or a slight tingling sensation, but it should not be uncomfortable.
Possible side effects
Temporary and mild side effects may include:
- Redness or watering of the eyes
- Mild irritation or sensitivity
- Rarely, an allergic reaction to the solutions or tint
A patch test is required at least 24–48 hours before treatment.
Aftercare advice
For the first 24 hours:
- Keep lashes dry
- Avoid steam, saunas, swimming, and heavy exercise
- Avoid eye makeup and oil-based products
- Do not rub or touch the eyes
After 24 hours, lashes can be treated as normal.
Who should not have a lash lift & tint?
- Active eye infections (e.g. conjunctivitis)
- Recent eye surgery
- Known allergies to treatment ingredients
- Very sensitive or damaged lashes
General Safety & Consent
- Both treatments are non-invasive but involve chemical solutions
- A consultation and patch test are required
- Results vary between individuals
- Treatments should only be carried out by a trained practitioner
