What is BioRePeel?

BioRePeel is an advanced chemical peel used in aesthetic medicine to improve skin texture, tone, and overall appearance. It combines active exfoliating acids, vitamins, and amino acids to stimulate skin renewal, support collagen production, and refresh the skin.

It is designed to provide results with minimal downtime compared to some traditional peels.

How does it work?

BioRePeel works by:

  • Exfoliating old, dead skin cells to reveal fresher skin beneath
  • Stimulating fibroblasts — cells that help produce collagen and elastin
  • Delivering vitamins, amino acids, and hydrating factors into the skin
  • Promoting cell turnover and revitalisation

This process can help improve skin quality and leave skin looking smoother and more radiant.

What skin concerns can it help with?

BioRePeel may improve:

  • Fine lines and signs of ageing
  • Uneven skin texture and tone
  • Sun-damaged or dull skin
  • Acne and post-acne marks
  • Enlarged pores
  • Mild pigmentation concerns
  • Dry or lacklustre skin

It’s often used on the face, but some practitioners also use it on the neck, décolletage, hands, or body.

What to expect during treatment

  • A full consultation with your practitioner is required first
  • The peel solution is applied to the skin and left on for a few minutes
  • Most people feel little to mild sensation (often a tingling), and treatment is usually well-tolerated
  • The procedure is typically quick (around 10–20 minutes) and needle-free

What happens after treatment?

  • Your skin may feel slightly warm, red, or sensitive immediately after treatment
  • Mild tightness or dryness is common
  • Some people experience light peeling or flaking a few days after treatment — this is part of the renewal process

Downtime is usually minimal, and most patients can resume normal activities soon after treatment.

When will I see results?

  • Many people notice an “instant glow” immediately after treatment
  • Improvement in texture and tone continues over the following days to weeks
  • A series of treatments (often spaced about 7–10 days apart) may be recommended for best results, depending on your skin concerns and goals

Possible side effects

Common and usually temporary effects include:

  • Redness
  • Mild swelling
  • Tight or dry skin

These typically resolve within a few days, but if symptoms worsen or persist, contact your practitioner.

Rare but more significant reactions can include:

  • Changes in pigmentation (darkening or lightening of the skin)
  • Infection (very uncommon with proper aftercare)
  • Allergic reactions

Who should NOT have BioRePeel?

BioRePeel may not be suitable if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have active skin infection, open wounds, or inflammatory skin conditions (e.g., eczema, psoriasis)
  • Have a known allergy to peel ingredients
  • Have used isotretinoin (Accutane) recently
  • Have a history of poor wound healing, scarring, or certain medical conditions

Our Specialist Nurse Prescriber will assess your suitability at consultation.

Before & aftercare advice

Before treatment:

  • Avoid retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, and exfoliating products for at least 3–7 days before treatment
  • Avoid sunburn or artificial tanning exposure

After treatment:

  • Avoid makeup for 24 hours
  • Avoid harsh skincare products (acids, retinoids) for several days
  • Avoid sunbeds, saunas, and hot environments for 72 hours or more
  • Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily, especially while skin is renewing
  • Do not pick or peel the skin if flaking occurs

Good aftercare helps reduce risks and supports better healing and results.

Are results permanent?

BioRePeel delivers temporary improvements in skin quality. Results can be enhanced and maintained with repeated treatments and good skincare habits, including daily sun protection.
